Trio d’Argento

In this episode we are presenting the Ontario based “Trio d’Argento”.

Sibylle Marquardt is the trio’s flautist. She is a native of Germany who moved to Canada in 1997. Her extensive orchestral experiences in Europe include performing with the Radio Symphony Orchestra Munich, and several other orchestras. In Canada she has played with the Windsor Symphony and the Toronto Philharmonia.

Clarinets are played by Peter Stoll. Peter is a gifted, in-demand musician who performs regularly in Toronto with numerous orchestral and chamber groups. He has also toured extensively in the United States and across Europe.

Rounding out the trio is pianist Todd Yaniw. Todd is a much-lauded prizewinner whose many accomplishments include earning a silver medal at the prestigious Eastman International Piano Competition.

We recorded this performance at the St. Elias Convention Centre in Haines Junction, Yukon, in November 2018
