Fawn Fritzen & Daniel Janke

This episode of JAM Live! features the vocal duo Fawn Fritzen & Daniel Janke from Whitehorse, Yukon.

For Fawn and Daniel this was a new project, performing gentle songs covering an eclectic range, including folk, pop, country, blues and jazz.

Fawn Fritzen

Fawn is an award-winning vocalist and singer-songwriter.

Although she developed her powerful voice in amateur theatre productions while studying Commerce in Ottawa, it wasn’t until almost a decade later, when she moved to the Yukon, that she started her professional career as a singer.

Fawn joined the Whitehorse Bigband in 2007 as a pianist and what quickly followed was her passion to singing Jazz.

It didn’t take long for people to sit up and take notice, especially when she sang songs in French, German, and Mandarin Chinese.

In 2013 Fawn released her debut album “Bedroom Voice”. This album, nicely brings out Fawn’s warm and rich voice, which is willingly vulnerable, with hints of Karen Carpenter, Julie London, and Barbra Streisand.
