Veranda at the KMBF in Haines Junction, Yukon, June 2022

This episode features Veranda from Montreal, Quebec. Veranda is a collaboration between musician and actress Catherine-Audrey Lachapelle and multi-instrumentalist Léandre Joly-Pelletier. The band brings an Appalachian vibe to Canada’s folk music scene with a blend of traditional and contemporary, simplicity and virtuosity, filled with sweet harmonies and soulful melodies. Veranda performed at the Kluane Mountain Bluegrass Festival in Haines Junction (KMBF), Yukon, in June 2022. Catherine-Audrey Lachapelle, on vocals and guitar, and Léandre Joly-Pelletier, on vocals, guitar, mandolin and banjo, were joined on stage by bass player Johnny Slapper, and Kieran Poil on fiddle.

This episode is dedicated to the founder of the Kluane Mountain Bluegrass Festival, Bob Hayes, who sadly passed away in December, 2022.
