Interview with blues musician Jimmy D. Lane

jimmy_d_laneEpisode # 01 features an interview with electric blues guitarist Jimmy D. Lane who grew up in the 60’s in Chicago and now calls Canada his home. His father was the legendary blues musician Jimmy Rogers. Jimmy’s guitar style has echoes of the energy and texture that Stevie Ray Vaughan brought to the stage. Not surprisingly, Vaughan’s former band Double Trouble played on Jimmy’s 2004 album “It’s Time”. He has also worked with Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, B.B. King, Taj Mahal, Stephen Stills, Robert Plant, .. just to name a few. Jimmy has released 3 Blues CD’s and he recently completed a double album titled “Rings” with his wife Beverly Butler Lane.

JAM interviewed Jimmy on July 19, 2012 after his outdoor show at the St. Elias Centre in Haines Junction.
