JAM Live! Episode 37

This is part two of our two part series featuring The Abrams Brothers from Kingston, Ontario.

John and James, The Abrams Brothers, are the fourth generation of professional musicians in their family. Barely into their twenties, they have been touring for over a decade. The brothers come from a strong tradition of Bluegrass and Americana music, and have since created a signature sound that brings Country, Rock and Pop all together in one place.

By the time they were 12 and 15, The Abrams Brothers had already performed at Nashville’s iconic Grand Ole Opry. They have since gone on to international success, performing for devoted audiences in Canada, the United States, the UK, Europe and Israel, sharing the stage with artists such as Feist, The Dixie Chicks, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson and Tom Cochrane. The Abrams Brothers are currently working on their fifth studio album with Juno award winning and Grammy nominated producer Gavin Brown, who has produced records for Lady Gaga, the Barenaked Ladies and the Tragically Hip.

John (on guitar and vocals) and James (on fiddle, banjo and vocals) are  joined on stage by Cam Giroux (on drums and harmony vocals) and Jason Mercer on upright bass.

This performance was recorded at the Kluane Mountain Bluegrass Festival in June, 2015, at the St. Elias Convention Centre, in Haines Junction, Yukon.
