Lonely Heartstring Band - Charles (bass, vocals) and George Clements (guitar, vocals)

This two part series features the folk/pop/bluegrass group “The Lonely Heartstring Band” from Boston, Massachusetts. The group emerged out of the American Roots Program at Berklee College of Music in 2012. In just a few years since the group’s inauguration they have gained a reputation of being one of the most innovative and cutting-edge contemporary bluegrass bands in the US. The band has been performing at major festivals in North America, toured in Germany and New Zealand.

We recorded their performances at the Kluane Mountain Bluegrass Festival in Haines Junction, Yukon, in June 2018.

The group are twin brothers George Clements (guitar, vocals) and Charles Clements (bass, vocals). On fiddle and vocals Patrick M’Gonigle, Matt Witler (mandolin) and Gabe Hirshfeld (banjo).
