The folk band “The Bills” from British Columbia’s west coast have been touted “a Canadian acoustic music super-group”, excelling with their trademark instrumental virtuosity, lush vocal arrangements and evocative songwriting. This folk quintet has developed a unique and galvanizing sound by blending traditional influences from around North America and the rest of the globe.
“The Bills” are: Marc Atkinson (mandolin, guitar, vocals), Richard Moody (violin, viola, vocals), Chris Frye (guitar, lead vocals) , Adrian Dolan (fiddle, piano, accordion, vocals) and Scott White (upright bass, vocals).
We recorded “The Bills” at the Sitka Performing Arts Centre, Sitka, S.E. Alaska, in September 2016.
